22 April 2014 No CommentsArthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was born on 22 May 1859 at 11 Picardy Place, Edinburgh.
His birthplace was demolished around 1970, but this statue of Sherlock Holmes is opposite where it stood.
Not quite the incarnation of Sherlock I love the most though :-)
